Tips for Adjusting Ice Baths to Temperature Changes

Temperature changes can affect the effectiveness of an ice bath, so it’s important to make reasonable adjustments.

Tips for winter immersion
In cold winter, you can choose a lower water temperature, usually 5-10 degrees Celsius. The immersion time can be slightly longer, 15-20 minutes is recommended to fully experience the recovery effect of ice bath.

Summer Adaptation
During the summer months, when temperatures are higher, the water temperature should be moderately increased and kept at 10-15 degrees Celsius. Soaking time should also be shortened to 5-10 minutes to avoid discomfort caused by excessive cold.

Observe the body’s reaction
Regardless of the season, it is recommended to observe the body’s reaction after each ice bath to avoid feeling excessively cold or uncomfortable. Adjust the duration of immersion and water temperature according to individual conditions.
